|ABOUT THE VBRGS
Our membership is made up of a diverse group of people who enjoy sharing their love of family
and local history and genealogy research.
We welcome everyone and encourage all who have an interest.
We meet in the months of February, March, April, June, July, August, September, and October
on the 4th Monday of the month, unless otherwise noted, at 7:00 p.m.
OUR SOCIETY MEETINGS AND EVENTS ARE CURRENTLY BEING HELD AT THE
VAN BUREN CONFERENCE CENTER IN LAWRENCE, MI
The society owns a genealogical and historical collection consisting of thousands of items.
These items have been protected and preserved for over 32 years by our charter member
and past society librarian TONI I. BENSON, our current society librarian PAM PENDER and
the many volunteers who have given of their time and talents.
This collection has been placed in storage as we await the completion of the
HARTFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY AND ART AND BONNA VANDERLYN COMMUNITY CENTER.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO BEING A PART OF THE HARTFORD COMMUNITY WHICH IS ALSO HOME TO THE
VAN BUREN COUNTY MUSEUM AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
WE THANK THE HARTFORD BIBLE CHURCH FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE AS THEY ARE STORING OUR
COLLECTION AS WE PREPARE FOR OUR NEW HOME.
